What Are the Eligibility Criteria for PTE Registration?
There are no specific eligibility criteria to apply for PTE or to appear in the test. However, there are a few factors which you should keep in mind. They are:
- Age limit: If you want to take the PTE exam, you must be above the age of 16. Moreover, those who are below 18 years of age have to bring written consent or permission from their guardian to appear for this exam.

Proper Steps to Register for PTE

- Create a free account on “www.mypte.pearsonpte.com.”
- Click on ‘Find Your Test’ from the home page.
- Enter your desired country and purpose of visit (study or work).
- Click on the ‘PTE Academic’ for study purposes.
- Next, you will be directed to the ‘booking’ questions related to basic information about you and your visit.
- You will be then directed to the policies section of the PTE exam.
- Choose your preferred PTE exam dates from the available ones.
- Look for the nearest exam center and click for the final step.
- Pay the registration fees (INR 18,000) and your PTE Academic exam slot will be booked.
- You will receive the confirmation mail after successful registration.
- Also, you can check your PTE score chart on the official website after the exam.

PTE Exam Fees and Available Payment Options
The latest PTE exam fee is Rupees 18,000 (inclusive of 18% tax) for both center test and PTE from home. Moreover, it is important to know that additional costs may apply for late registration and cancellation.
Also, the test committee accepts online modes of payment. So, cash and cheque payment is not an option to apply for the PTE exam. The accepted options are: Credit Cards, Debit cards, and internet banking. Besides, you have to make the payment during the registration process.
Reschedule and Cancellation Policies for PTE Exam
You can reschedule or cancel the PTE exam without any fees up to 14 calendar days before the real PTE exam dates. Moreover, a 50% amount will be charged if you make any changes within 13 to 8 days before the exam.
After that, rescheduling fees will be higher within 7 days before the exam, and no refund for canceling the exam. Also, before registering for the exam, it is important to be fully familiar with the PTE syllabus and PTE exam pattern. This will ensure confidence and a high score in the test and there will be no need to reschedule or cancel the exam.
